You should not need a credit card to find out when your friends can meet. Free2Meet is a free group scheduling poll: create an event in about 30 seconds, share a link, and collect everyone’s availability on a live heatmap — no account for you, no account for them.

We built it for the boring, recurring problem — team syncs, parent committees, study groups, volunteer rotas — where “when is everyone free?” turns into reply-all chaos. One link replaces the thread. The darkest green slot is the answer.

Free should mean free for organisers and respondents — not “free until you hit a respondent limit.”

How we think about “free”
The core workflow — create, share, collect availability, read the heatmap — stays free. We would rather have ten thousand casual polls that work than gate basic scheduling behind a signup funnel.

How a free poll works (four steps)

  1. Name your event — pick dates, times, or dates-only mode if hours can wait.
  2. Share the link — WhatsApp, email, Slack, wherever your group already talks.
  3. Everyone marks availability — parallel answers on any phone; no login wall.
  4. Read the heatmap — overlap darkens live; pick the best slot and close the loop.

Free2Meet vs other “free” schedulers

Lots of tools advertise free tiers. Many add ads on the respondent page, cap participants, or nudge everyone to create accounts. We wrote honest comparisons if you are evaluating alternatives: Doodle, When2Meet, and Calendly for groups.

Questions we get

Is it really free?

Yes for creating polls and collecting responses. Optional donations help with hosting; they are never required to run a poll.

Do respondents need an account?

No. That was non-negotiable when we built Free2Meet. Click the link, paint availability, close the tab.

Is there a limit on how many people can respond?

No artificial cap on the core product. We have seen large groups use the same heatmap — the grid scales with your poll.

How is this different from a Google Form?

Forms collect text answers you still have to merge. Free2Meet is visual — overlap is colour on a grid, not spreadsheet archaeology.
